From our Monbulk kitchen to your table, we're a family business that gets genuinely excited about feeding people. Ready meals that rescue weeknights, catering that makes every celebration unforgettable (in a good way), and our local farmers market selling our famous "Green Eggs and Ham" — it's all been about creating those moments when good food makes everything better.

Our Story

It Started With Pizza on a Friday

Picture this: Sophie and Glen, wandering through a random Italian village, suddenly invited to join what looked like the celebration of the century. Four generations of men gathered around the communal pizza oven—small children darting between their fathers' legs, helping with toppings, brothers and fathers stretching dough with practiced ease, while grandfathers wielded their wisdom to stoke the flames just right. The women scooted steaming pizzas out to feed the entire town.

"What's the celebration for?" they asked.

The locals looked puzzled. "It's Friday," came the reply.

That moment changed everything. Here was a community bound together by food, where cooking wasn't a chore but a celebration, where every meal was an excuse to gather, to connect, to nourish both body and soul.

 
The Journey

Glen's been in the hospitality game for over 25 years, starting as that front-of-house guy everyone wanted at their table—quick wit, infectious laugh, the kind of person who made strangers feel like old friends within minutes. When he owned his restaurant in Hawthorn, the Good Food Guide said dining there was like "stepping into an old friend's kitchen." That pretty much sums up Glen's approach to everything he does.

For the past fifteen years, he's been perfecting his craft in the kitchen, learning from legends like Rick Stein, George Columbaris, and Andrew Blake. He's run kitchens at yacht clubs, breweries, and everywhere in between as Head Chef, but his heart has always been in creating food that makes people feel something.

 
The Philosophy

Glen's all about flavor-forward food that presents naturally—local produce treated with respect, classic techniques that actually work, and that magical quality that makes you reach for just one more bite. His more adventurous ideas get lovingly vetted by his wife (who leads the family taste-testing panel) and their two mostly adorable children.

Those kids are actually the reason he stepped away from the restaurant world. Because at the end of the day, Glen wanted to give other families what that Italian village had—great food made from scratch, with whole ingredients and love (plus just the right amount of salt and butter), without the stress of cooking it themselves.
